Apply through the website

  • Visit the website  to login to your account
  • On your profile, scroll to 'How to apply for this SRD Grant'section
  • Next, you will see a yellow bar on which you will see 'click here to apply online'
  • In the next stage, enter your phone number and click "send sms"
  • Enter your One Time Password sent to your phone number
  • Follow the rest of the instructions to to apply for your R350 grant online

Apply Via the WhatsApp line

  • Add their WhatsApp number to your phone contacts. The number is 082 046 8553
  • Send a 'Hi' message to this number
  • Make sure you include your first name, surname, and ID number in the WhatsApp text

After a submitting your details in the above step, a text message will be sent to you instructing you on what to do next

What you Should know About R350 Grant

Beneficiaries are encouraged to reapply under the new Act. 

Applicants are discouraged from submitting multiple applications across different platforms

Your SASSA grant application will be approved or rejected before 15th of the month. Applicants will receive a message indicating whether they have been approved or not 

Who can apply for SASSA SRD R350 Grant?

To apply for the SASSA grant, you must meet all the eligibility requirements to qualify. Applicant must be hold a South Africa citizenship status, must be unemployed, younger than 59 years, have all the necessary documents.

How to Submit SASSA R350 Grant Appeal

  • Log in to the website using your email and password
  • On your dashboard, click on the green bar that indicates 'click here to lodge an appeal or check appeal status'
  • Enter your ID and your cellphone numbers
  • Click on 'send PIN'. A verification message will be sent to you through SMS
  • Next, enter the PIN sent to you and submit
  • Choose the month you are submitting an  appeal for
  • Select the drop down arrow, and choose the reason for your appeal
  • Finally, click 'submit'

You can appeal for each month your request has been rejected. All applications for appeal are reviewed by an independent person.
