After my wife decided to take my two daughters down to her village to visit her parents since it is the holiday period. I decided to have some me time.
On my way back from work I decided to get popcorn, plenty enough to fill my backseat. There was no one to disturb me this time. My kids won’t allow me to rest in the living room while my wife won’t allow peace inside the bedroom.
I can’t watch any movies on the tv inside the living room because my kids are always watching cartoons on it and my wife is always busy with zee world inside the bedroom but since no one is around outta them all, I decided to enjoy what I’ve been missing.
I got home in the evening, and I decided to play games first, so I brought out my ps5 from where I tucked it because it’s useless in the sitting and the kids can also break it once they start their rough play.
I connected it to the tv and played different games till it was past eight. I stopped playing and decided to watch a movie. I poured the popcorn into a big bucket. I switched off every light inside the room and stationed my tv to Netflix. I went online to search for a good horror movie and found one.
I checked if it’s on Netflix and luckily for me, it is. I sat down on the sofa with the bucket containing the popcorn beside me. I had a chilled liter of chivita juice beside it to assist the ministration.
It was as if I was inside a cinema all by myself and it was fun. I was watching the movie while eating the popcorn. I was sure not many can watch the movie because the horror in it was enthralling. It looked real and scary but I was a fan of horror movies so I had no problem with it.
I was long gone in it when I suddenly felt something walking on my body, I brushed it off without looking at it while I focused on my movie. I deepened my hand into the bucket again and my hand touched some crawling creatures instead of popcorn but my mind was far gone into the movie to take notice of it. I took a handful of it and poured it into my mouth. It felt like I was eating bugs as I swiftly spit them out. I took my phone and switched on the light.
Inside the bucket was different kinds of bugs, centipedes, and cockroaches. The light suddenly goes to the floor and I saw a different kind of snakes on the marble tiled floor, they filled the whole living room. That was when I took notice that I’d been feeling some cold things on my legs.
I panicked as I quickly took my legs off the floor and stood on the sofa, my phone mistakenly fell from my hand and disappeared into the midst of snakes and the light went out. The tv also went off at the same time.
My heart was beating faster as I was extremely scared. I felt the snakes trying to get on top of the sofa and I started kicking anything that came close to my legs. I suddenly felt the movement of some figures inside the room. Some cackling laughter started erupting from every angle in the room. My heart was trying to come out of my chest as it was beating faster.
“ who’s there “ I screamed and it echoed back at me in with condescending laughter.
My short was wet, I was sweating profusely as I strained my eye to see through the dark.
“ here “ I suddenly heard someone say behind me and before I could react, he pushed me down from the sofa. I fell into the snakes and that was when the adrenaline kicked in. I stood up at once and started running, I didn’t know how I managed to get to the door, I pushed it open and ran outside only to meet another shock. I was in the middle of graves.
The house had disappeared into a cemetery and there were gravestones everywhere. I was still trying to figure out what was happening when a hand suddenly touched my shoulder. I jolted in shock as I turned and saw a ghost. Its face was filled with blood, and its intestines were out and moving like snakes.
“ help “ I screamed as I tried to run but my legs became stiff. I started hearing different voices as more of the ghosts started appearing from nowhere. The door of my house suddenly opened by itself and the snakes started crawling outside.
One of the ghost suddenly pulled my left hand and removed it from my body and started eating it while I watched, the rest on seeing this all fell on me as some were pulling at my intestines and others, other parts of my body.
I was helpless until I shut my eyes and suddenly opened it and found myself inside my room. I had slept off while watching the movie and had a nightmare, a nightmare meant to scare y’all today.
