I was asked to share my stories of my experiences as a paranormal investigator. Before I start, and seeing many of the posts in this group, it’s important to understand why I stopped investigating.
In 2005, I became the co-founder and regional chapter lead investigator. We were one team of a larger network of investigators. I used to be referred to as the Velma of the team. Jinkies! It was very interesting and exciting at first. We went to quite a few of the more famous “haunted places”. Had fun traveling, meeting and helping folks out when we could.
I discovered that there are things that are better left alone. Once you know these things are out there, you will never be the same. There is a darkness, that can envelop your very existence. I skimmed the surface of this darkness, and recognized its presence as being beyond my comprehension.
With that, I abruptly quit investigating.
When I left, I could not begin to explain to my colleagues, why I had to stop. All I knew is that I needed to separate myself and cut off all ties, until I was able to talk about it. Many team members were upset with me. I lost a friend or two in the process. But those that have experienced what I did, they understood and supported my decision.
I’ll give brief descriptions of what I can without opening up anything that should remain closed.
Big Black is a non descriptive figure, more of an opaque dark mass. It will creep up and block out all light from floor to ceiling.
Crawlers are a cross between human and monkey shaped. They are fast, crawl on all fours, up walls and hang from ceilings. They don’t feel very intelligent, more childish, it likes to pick one person to follow around, and likes to scratch and push.
If you’ve watched Lord of the Rings, this next being, sounds a lot like Gollum. I have only heard it running around and caught the voice during an EVO session. I picture it like a small goblin-ish trickster but their tricks go from innocent to evil. These things thrive on, and cause chaos. They get into your head and cause depression and anger.
Dragon head, has a human shaped body. It’s a shadowy figure. It hides in dark places. It makes you feel empty and alone. That’s all I can describe.
The Hat Man. I’m sure you have heard accounts of this. I’ve seen it several times. It’s an entirely black figure. The only description I get from the Hat Man, is something like the Grim Reaper. It likes to be around children. It doesn’t touch anything or say anything. It only watches.
Doppelgängers are not good. They are intelligent and they are dark. They have the potential to hurt people. If you see one, do not engage. Find someone that has experience with these. Demonologist that are connected to religion, are who I recommend you have help remove them.
There is one that I cannot really describe more than it is tall, as in 15-20+ feet tall. It hides behind trees in a local park and old cemetery.
Before you decide to go looking for ghosts, before you go asking for spirits to “show you a sign”, please think long and hard about what you will do if you come face to face with something that has no concern for humanity.
It is devoid of any emotion. It feels dark, cold and never ending. These things want your attention, don’t give it to them. They can appear as something innocent but they are anything but.
