I am from New Zealand. Roughly about 8 years ago I had a friend stay the night with me at my old flat that used to be the towns local gang pad. Me and my friend are both very much in to the paranormal. And this was to be our second experience, I will tell the first one next if you would like to hear it. Both of them happened with this same friend.
We were bored so decided to make a make shift ouija board out of paper and a lid from a bottle. (This was a silly idea,l as my mum had experiences with an actual board when she was a kid as her parents used to this socially and invite neighbors around to do so. Living on the family farm in the 70s. If anybody wants to hear these ones 2 let me know.
Anyhow; we turned off all the lights and sat on the floor in the lounge, we asked the usual questions like "is anybody there" etc. There was nothing for a good 3 minutes in, when all of a sudden a door handle in the kitchen slammed down as if somebody had wacked it really hard. There was nobody else home that could of made that noise. It distinctively sounded like a door handle when you go to open a door but don't push down hard enough and it shoots back up but with great force.
I have never ever jumped up so fast in my life to turn all the lights on. We checked the house out after, nothing was out of place, and all the doors around the living room and kitchen were still closed as we shut them before hand (open plan living) so the kitchen was attached to the lounge.
I have never done another board since. But that noise could not be explained. I guess somebody really did want to let us know they were in fact there.
