Story 1
I have a true story, in 2012 my husband had a massive heart attack he passed twice before we got to the hospital. They brought him back, he had surgery the next day he was on the mend so we thought. He went to rehab and his incision got infected and he went downhill fast.
He was in ICU for 6 months . I didn’t hear his voice or see his eyes for 6 months. Finally he had surgery because the infection was staph in the chest bone and ribs. They took out the chest plate and 1/2 in of ribs on both sides. Some very strong antibiotics and he was able to wake up.
The first thing he said to me was, Hey you know that tunnel they talk about , I said mmm hmmm. He said it’s over grown trees not a tunnel, and the bright light is God calling you home. Now my husband isn’t a church going man so this hit me hard. He said when you get to the end your family is there waiting on you!
I ask who was there waiting on him he said my Mom, Dad and his brother who had just passed. I ask if he talked to them he said yes, yes I did! He said I got a hug from all 3 and a kiss from Mom. He said his mom told him he had to go back but he said he didn’t want to. He said his mom said someone is waiting on you to wake up!
Hubby said I don’t want to go back and he said his mom said you have to it’s not your time and you have something to do! He said he told them all good bye and was back in a blink of an eye. That’s when I saw his eyes for the first time in 6 months and began to tell me his story.
We sat one day and talked about what he had to come back to do. My sister was diagnosed with terminal cancer 3 months after he came home, he’s taken care of her financially because her not being able to work she had no Ins, he said this is what I had to do. She needs us and our help. Sorry this was so long, but I use to be afraid of dying, but I’m not anymore ! He can never tell this story because he starts crying so I tell it for him.
Story 2
About 30 years ago me and my Mama were sitting up late one night watching an old black and white horror movie. My Daddy had long been in bed, I had think it was around 1am. I was sitting on the couch to the left of fe front door, maybe 7 feet from the door.
My Mama was sitting in a recliner right beside the door. All of a sudden Mama whispered at me to mute tv, which I did, and she whispered “there is something on the porch”. Now my aunt that lives next door (if you read my previous post you have heard about her house) and at the time she had a lot of chickens, dogs and cats that would come over in our yard.
I told my Mama that was probably the what it was. The blood drained from her face and she said “it is not a chicken”. Then we hear a light knock on the door, I again tried to be rational and say it was bugs hitting the door. By the way the door is metal, no window.
Then the knock got louder and we noticed a scratching sound that followed it. Then it got loud. It knocked one time and then this scratching sound would go down the door, then it would do it again. I started to open the door but my Mama said to go get my Daddy. He comes in all groggy and went to the door but I told him to wait until he heard it.
He made fun of us saying we were scaring ourselves with the movie we were watching but then it did it again, even louder. Daddy immediately yanked the door open…nothing there. No cat, dog, chicken or bug in sight. He turned around and said “time for everybody to go to bed”. Never heard anything like that again.
Story 3
Many years ago I rented an older home with my ex husband and 3 young children aged 1 to 7 at time. He worked both night and day shifts on a mine site and would be gone 5am to 5pm or leave 4pm return 7am ish. The first night there the house had me feeling uneasy.
My 2 sons 5 and 7 also were not keen to sleep in there new room. Night shift nights the boys ended up in the queen bed andi slept next to my 1yo daughter. The 2 dogs at the end of her bed. Well one night my then husband was on nightshift and I heard a noise sounded like it was coming from corner of my daughter's room.
I said what was that (to the dogs lol) one ran out like a lightning bolt and one stayed close I then heard a deep man's voice coming from the living room say ' it was me' . Oh I was terrified but I investigated being a crazy woman there was no one there thank the Lord.
But I walked back up the hall to my daughter's room and there was a burning sensation on my back and it felt like I'd walked through a random source of heat just out side her door. I touched my back and it was hot to the touch so I turned to see if the air was hot where I just passed and it was like fire.
I grabbed my daughter from the single bed put her with my older boys texted my husband and said please hurry home something isn't right here. He took an hour to get home but we all ended up visiting family for the weekend. I didn't want to go back... but I did.
We returned and it was stinky like dead inside. (Was a dead mouse under the oven) I never slept properly ever again in that home without him there and we moved not long after.
I had chosen to ignore any weird noises from that point on in that home and I rarely pay much attention now to noises in the night in any home unless it sounds like a burglar.
Story 4
Another story for y’all!
My husband and I rented a beautiful house on Lake Superior. It was over 120 years old and had only been owned by 3 families over the years.
It was in a very small town (closer to being a village) so the neighbours had lived there for decades.
The first weekend, both of us heard an old man coughing outside on the porch and in the kitchen. We honestly thought it must’ve been someone walking by the house as our windows and doors were open (that beautiful lake wind). Then we heard it in the middle of the night as we were sitting outside having a smoke.
Turns out that the couple who had previously owned, and passed away in that house, used to sit outside all day long and smoke. Especially the husband, who everyone would laugh and say they’d hear him cough a lung out all day long!
Another quirky thing about this house, was anytime, and I mean anytime my husband cooked on the stove, the alarm would go off. Even if it wasn’t burning but me? never. not once. I laughed and said out loud once “she must be one of those ladies who thinks a man should never be in her kitchen” and I swear I heard a giggle coming from the mudroom.
It was such a lovely house and they were the nicest spirits i’ve ever come across!
Story 5
Hi everyone. I’m new to this group and this is my first post. I have tried researching shadow people but haven’t found anything that can define them.
Several years ago I woke up to the shadows of 3 older gentlemen standing beside me. I screamed and ducked under the covers. They were gone when I finally got up the nerve to look. This was my first encounter. There have been so many occurrences, all different.
One night, I woke to find a very tall and thin shadow man wearing a top hat in my bedroom doorway. I screamed and rolled completely over my husband. Not long after a news source posted a picture of the exact same shadow man that an anonymous woman had captured on her phone.
Finally, after waking to see a man and little girl knelt down by my bedside and both looking me in the eyes, I couldn’t take it anymore. It was starting to become a nightly ritual. So, I bought a sleep mask about a year ago and used it every night for a few months. I decided one night not to wear it and no one came.
The mask seemed to work and I haven’t had anymore occurrences. Is there anyone here who can tell me what they are, where they come from and what they wanted? I’m at a loss and really need answers. Thank you!
